SUMMER ARTS CAMPS RETURN FOR 2022!!!

Check out these great offerings for creative THIRD through EIGHT graders!

The Color Purple

Lavender, violet, lilac & amethyst… Mystery, wisdom, royalty, and positive energy…who doesn’t love purple?  Campers experience multiple purple-themed activities and materials while learning processes, discovering techniques… maybe inventing some of their own! Kids will paint, draw & collage while energizing their artistic spirit and gaining confidence through creativity. No experience necessary. Emphasis will be on creativity, production, mess-making, and FUN! Hey, we might even listen to Prince and enjoy some grape popsicles while we are at it!

Child weaving
It's All About Me!

In this fun, fast-paced art camp, campers will create self-portraits in a variety of artist’s media including photography, computer graphics, painting, collage, and more! No experience is necessary as we investigate (through art-making) what we know about ourselves, what we show about ourselves, and how our likes and dislikes paint pictures about us. Campers will take home several pieces of ready-to-hang artwork upon the completion of the camp!

Creative Fiber Arts

In this hands-on exploration, we will dive into traditional and contemporary fiber arts. Drawing upon an exciting variety of materials and techniques, we will create both functional and decorative artworks. Projects will include weaving, needle felting, fabric coil basketry, batik, macramé, and a unique, hand-sewn stuffed character. It will be a fun-filled adventure, sure to satisfy busy hands and creative minds.
